warnings
The series Shinichi is from is of the sci-fi / psychological / body horror genre, and much of his history and character reflects that.
Migi alone deserves a body horror warning. He can not only shift his appearance (aka Shinichi's right hand and much of his arm) into various stretched and horrific forms, but even in his more tame states, can be a tad on the disturbing side. Shinichi's hand commonly hosts an eyeball or two, his fingers may stretch out and become Migi's eyestalks, a mouth may be involved, etc. He also is quite spider-like very often and I tend to describe his movements as such.
I also plan to heavily incorporate the darker mental changes in Shinichi, which may touch on cannibalistic and gory themes. (It is a dark fear in Shinichi that he might develop some sort of appetite for humans. When experiencing extreme fear, anger, or other negative emotions, he and Migi sometimes seem to briefly merge mentally, resulting in Shinichi thinking like one of the alien creatures from back home. He has threatened to eat people in the heat of the moment and seemingly forgotten about it afterwards). The warp feature in Deerington means I also plan to play up more of the parasitic nature of Migi (having him drain Shinichi's nutrients more often, and writing out more about Migi being inside of his body).
This character also comes with emotional/psychological trauma, and may often display the symptoms of PTSD. His history includes the brutal death of his mother and witnessing a number of ookey aliens killing people and hunting after him, which has imbued a sense of frightful paranoia into him.
If you prefer not to get tags from him, from interactions involving Migi, or specific forms of Migi's, I have an opt out post. It would be very easy to just have Migi not pop up around your character if you would like to get to know Shinichi without his parasite. It's 100% canon for there to be times he's asleep, and the effects of Deerington means he gets tired and weak a lot more. Or there are many times he's simply observing things sneakily rather than showing himself, in which case Shinichi is just a teen with some very awkward habits that come along with having a hand with a mind of its own, meaning I can keep the outright physical alien parts out of it.
